Photofest’s mission is to provide our customers with cutting-edge, simple to use digital photography equipment that enables them to easily capture and share every special moment of their event by employing the synergistic power of their guests. We will do this while providing unparalleled customer service and utilizing business practices that demonstrate our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Photofest was founded by Eric Danielsen and Michael Stoll, two US Navy helicopter pilots who were looking for a business to start together as they prepared for the transition to civilian life. With the help of their spouses, Leslie and Heather, Photofest was born! All four have a passion for photography and the environment, which made digital camera rental a natural fit.
Photofest has been in business only a short time - since June of 2008 - but has leveraged our combined 30 years worth of experiences as Naval Officers and small business owners to create a top-notch, professional organization. Eric has an MBA from Point Loma Nazarene University and Michael is part owner of a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Jacksonville, FL, two experiences that have contributed heavily to the design and creation of Photofest.
Photofest is based in Wilmington, NC and San Diego, CA. Running the business out of our homes in these two locations helps reduce costs and shipping time. This enables us to get our customer's photos online as quickly as possible following their event.
